About Knot Too Shaggy
Knot Too Shaggy is open right here in Wyckoff, NJ.
I have been grooming for over 30 years. I learned to groom through an apprenticeship in 1977, taught by an instructor for the New York School of Dog Grooming, who owned the grooming shop I was working in at that time.
My experience also includes managing several grooming shops during my career as well as opening and running grooming departments for two of the largest pet chains in the nation, both in New York City and New Jersey.
I have an extensive background with animals both wild and domestic. I worked for The Wildlife Conservation Society as a Zoo keeper and trainer at the Queens Zoo in Flushing Meadow Park and the Central Park Zoo both in New York.
I was involved in training Sea Lions, Spectacle Bears, Cotton Top Tamarins as well as Llamas, but... dogs have always been my passion.
I am a fur parent to an English Bullador, Abbey.
I attend grooming seminars at Groom Expos and Trade Shows every chance I get to keep up with the latest grooming trends.
Since I started Knot Too Shaggy Pet Spa I have experienced tremendous success for which I feel Blessed and Grateful everyday.
